HOLY CHAR DHAM YATRA
Uttarakhand or Dev Bhoomi has attracted many visitors over the years for Chardham Yatra. Chardham, means four religious places, it is a circuit including Holy Hindu pilgrimage centers of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. This Chota Chardham Tour in Garhwal region is an awaited event for many pilgrims and spiritual seekers every year from May to November. The places visited in the Chardham Yatra are considered to be one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage destinations, to get rid of their sins and pave their path to attain Moksha, the ultimate goal of human life. This Yatra can be pursued by anyone, including foreigners, while there are no dress codes, it is requested to dress decently while paying a visit at the temple.
The great Hindu reformer and philosopher Adi Shankaracharya, commenced the Chardham Yatra as an initiative to revive Hindu religion during the 8th century, and since then many devotees have been following the tour. This particular circuit was named as chota chardham in the 20th century to differentiate between original Chardham Yatra.
